Regurgitating is a large physical design based on the practice of asemic writing. The design is inspired by a Pyramid Park song, “Regurgitating”, which speaks of the pain of grief. Particularly in the early stages of loss, it can feel as though you’re regurgitating a series of phrases from the raw and vulnerable through to the short, curt answers. This design aims to approach the theme of pent-up emotions, and the eventual “splurge” of mangled grief on the floor.
